I tried to do step 6 of the tutorial, but I do not see the hex checkbox in v5.0.
If I go back to v4.4, the hex checkbox is there.

make sure you have as value type "4 bytes" selected (or any other byte type)

I reinstalled 5.0 and it now apprears. I guess it was just a glitch. Sorry about that. I feel so stupid. =P
One question though, when I used CE 4.4 with the unknown inital value scan, my desktop scans extremely slowly and my laptop is almost instanious. Does the scan have to do with the memory bus speed?
Desktop: Athlon XP 2500 Barton, 1gb PC2700 Corsair XMS CAS2. on dual channel, dual 73gb raptors.
Laptop: Pentium-M 1.6ghz 533mhz bus, 1gb DDR2 533mhz on dual channel, and a small 40gb 7200 rpm

you're scanning the same process on the laptop as well?
You might want to pause the process while you're scanning. But yes, it may be the memory bandwidth. You could try changing the buffersize (perhaps lower will be faster, or higher will be faster)
