Can I not play Xbox live if it's modded? The original Xbox.

You can still use XBox Live with a modded XBox. The only time Live will give you trouble is if you're trying to play a burned game online.

With the newest patch, you will be banned within 6 hours of you signing on.
I don't know if the account will be banned, but the XBOX will.

You can softmod it, and whenever you would like to access LIVE! just disable your softmod from the main menu.

Dashboards such as EvoX won't let you sign on to Xbox Live while they are enabled to prevent being banned.

(Just don't have any modding going on when you connect)
