yes i have the same size...
don´t use all the effects of vista and it will work great..
also download e program rambooster

ehm, vista can work great?
xp is working very bad and vista works even worst
get xp i see no reason to get vista with less then 2 GB ram and 1GBg grafik card 
or get linux

i work with linux lol.. on my second pc
i know vista is the biggest virus of the wold but only with the effects.
disable them and all will work

 with a few manual scripts and other omproveements i looked up in books its a hlf complete OS

1. Those programs that "boost" your ram or "recover leaked memory" and shit are fake.
2. Vista will run fine with 1gb.

Let me guess... It magically gives the heart of a unicorn to your RAM stick, thus increasing its capacity to ovar 9000?
If anything, they claim to 'optimize' what it does, but 1GB RAM is 1GB. Nothing more.

Instead of de-repping me, explain to me how you think it works. Also, don't tell me what the developers say it does... I could easily create an application with a progress bar saying: "Freeing memory..."

Certainly Vista have no need for 2gb of RAM and 1gb of graphic memory(how many 1gb card are there? zzzz)
It requires a minimum of 1gb RAM and a sastifactory graphic card.
On the contrary, it works much better than XP and I believe Vista is the strongest OS there is.
