Cheat Engine

Ok so out of boredom I dl'd freelancer and some mods and am currently playing this one server. I decided to find the shield values. Once I found them i get something similar to
abcxxxx1
abcxxxx2
abcxxxx0
After I get this I think "Woah easy as pie"
They all conjoin and when I freeze them I have god mode for about 10 seconds. Then the addresses reset to a similar formula.

abcxxxx0
After though I figured that either I need to access "What rights to this address" or find the pointer. I tried the pointer and it killed the game.
Which method is more effective at making an effective god mode (pointer or access) and is there anyway I can stop the game from crashing. I'm not asking for the cheats just some advice on acquiring them. Thanks =]

But i never tried hacking it lol. Dont have it any longer either tho.

You said you tried pointer? What you mean Pointer scan or just freezing the pointer?

Well, I have that game, and I know that health hacking really isn't neccesary...
You can get into godmode without really any hacking.
Just edit your .ini and change the DIFFICULTY to 0

hi there,

i know quite alot of freelancer.
in the past you could edit the ini`s and change loadouts, ships, weapons.

nowadays there is a serverside client running called (ioncross or/and flhook)
flhook checks the memory like (VAC) for changes then disconnects/bans you.
ioncross checks the ini. files and if it does not correspond then it will ban you.

my knowledge is about hacking (asm/debugging) is not much.
so maybe we can work together cracking this sucker.
