Make sure their speed sync... And also it's recommended to have 2 identical sticks of RAMs. That reduces the chances of burning them...
Get CPU-Z from www.cpuid.com and post a screenshot of your Mainboard & Memory tab, so we can all help find the best RAM that suits you. _________________
You're using a 512mb 533mhz PC2-4200 on Single Channel. Try reading the SPD tab for the brand of that RAM. You should get another identical stick to prevent er... unfortunate stuff XD
But I think you're using an OEM stick. Then you should replace the current stick and add 1 more stick. _________________
Usually mixing RAM sticks is fine, but sometimes it can cause instability though it's rare. Try it and see what happens, there isn't a risk of frying anything so you might as well try.
