If you don't want to pay for one, get Windows Defender, it's free.

I hate nod32 Installed and it screwd my computer up it would freeze each time i started my computer so i went to safe mode and deleted it

and its not as simple as not running random shit you can get keyloggers and virus from visting certint pages i recommend getting no-script

dude, for scanning your computer, i use ad-aware pro and it detects anything. i use zonealarm pro for a firewall. rated #1 for 6 years in a row.

zonealarm free is still one of the best free firewalls there is

PeerGuardian is very usefull but alone its near useless and it down allows u to surf on porn sites but u can disable it
i use BitDefender and PeerGuardian and auto update u should never turn off
