I was wondering if anyone could gimme a few hints on how to search for the address for skill cooldown so i could change is to non-cooldown LOL Razz

Cool-downs are usually timers. Meaning a time would be used during the tick to display how much time is left till you can do something, as well as til the game will accept input for that given ability / spell or what ever.

In most cases, this will be stored as seconds and converted by the game on screen. If you are given a set time, try converting it to seconds and searching for that value. If not, search for unknown after using the ability / spell then filtering with unknown has decreased.

I successfully hacked the timers in a mmorpg. I searched for the string "you must wait to cast this again" and around that area i modifed a je to jmp so it would bypass the check.

It would not let you cast instantly but it would restart the timer so when you cast your power if you just hit the button a bunch of times it would start timers but not cast (so it would reset the timer) then after the real timer was up the fake timers would be expiring so if you hit it again the timer would expire almost instantly

i did it in rose online pretty easily... use a skill with a long cooldown, search unknown value, as the timer decreases, search decreased value. if you have to many addresses by the end of the skills cooldown duration, use it again, search increased, then decreased as it is decreasing.
