Hey I'm going to try and learn how to make trainers using vb6 for .exe games etc...

So does anyone have any pages bookmarked or they have a tutorial anywhere?

I'm planning on making one for Icy Tower

Greatly Appreciated

Thanks

Making trainers with trainer maker pro or something is easier than vb6 so you could try that instead

VB doesn't have a function that automatically writes a processes memory. You have the make the module / class to do it yourself. Most will just copy and paste someone elses and then complain when it doesn't work. Which is where the trainer makers do tend to be easier to work with since they walk through the design for a specific game, and avoid the copy + paste issues.

@DarkWolfz: Theres not much for you to read about making them other then studying and learning the API. The main API you will use with trainers will be:

Memory Access:
- ReadProcessMemory
- WriteProcessMemory

Window/Process Handling:
- FindWindow
- OpenProcess
- CloseHandle
- CreateToolhelp32Snapshot
- Process32First
- Process32Next
- Module32First
- Module32Next
- Thread32First
- Thread32Next

There are plenty of other API that you will eventually need to start working with, but for the basics the above should get you by. Make a trainer for minesweeper, (yes I know, eww minesweeper), but it is a very great program to begin with and use to test things on.

Heres a fast tut on how to make a trainer:

find variables with sothink Swf Decompiler

Find the Movie/base link of the game

Go on VB6 and put a shockwave flash on the layout

Press the shockwave flash, now search the properties for "custom" and press the thing that pops out when pressed

Now, write the Movie/Base link in the 2 textboxes when You clicked "Custom"

Now, you wil your game apear on the shockwave flash layout

now, put a button somewhere, and type "shockwaveFlash1 setVariable ("[variable name here], [value here]
End sub

[the code is wrong, It was just an EG.

[+rep appreciated]
