Move to C/C++ or ASM. It will take you far later on.

And for shits and giggles Wink Learn VB! xD

I'm learning .NET in school right now. Too easy.

Learn Delphi for beginners.
ASM for Intermediate.
C/C#/C++ for Expert.

I smell a contradiction.

Anyways - C and ASM is all you need.

I thought .NET was C#/ASPN and other stuff?

Or is it an actual programming language?

It is a horribly bloated framework. C# and such use it because people who program in it aren't supposed to be able to think. Confused

.NET framework is a set of class libraries and a JIT (Just in time) compiler for bytecode any language that can compile down to it (IronPython, IronRuby, F#, C#, VB.NET, C++.NET, etc etc)

Ok so technically .NET is a library for pretty much all programming languages?

Where are C and ASM going to get you as a developer looking for a job?

Most places take C#/C++, and MAYBE VB.

it really depends on what you wanna do. if you wanna do game programming, dont do C because it doesnt have classes. if you wanna be able to understand more about debugging, learn ASM.

Lazy C++ programmers? I'm not a lazy C++ programmer, hell, I'm not even a C++ programmer, I'm simply a C# programmer.
