Ok. I've been playing Lord of the Rings - Battle for Middle Earth.

So far I'm able to change the max used Command Points and Money and the Morining Star points. However, after starting a new game the adresses I found no longer function ingame.

Adresses are always in the 0889AA44 range.

So I used the Code Finder (from the tutorial) I can still find the code. Add it to the list, then rightclick on it. Selecting "Find out what writes to this adress" Then CE gives me a error. Error=87. I click OK, then CE tells me I've accessed a invalid entry )Ongeldige toegang)

Then I have to restart CE because it refuses to search anymore.

Advice please.

Error 87 is caused because the game you're trying to attach to is already being debugged by another process. (e.g copy protection, or anti hack system)

http://www.syndiv.com/ce/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2110 contains some info if you're using windows xp sp2.
Or if you have a older version of XP or even 2000, but have a Intel processor(pentium class), wait for next version of CE. (Sorry, but no AMD support)

Well, there might be a chance it does work on AMD's because I've only tested it sofar with one person on a AMD, and it didn't work. But I've managed to reproduce the bug on my intel system so I'm not sure if it was something he did, or if it's true that you can't rewrite the interrupt table on a AMD inside windows. (I know... Windows xp 64+ won't allow changing the IDT table, but it'll work in xp and earlier.)

And no idea on when it's released. I've got several bugs to fix and need to add some new features. And i'm a little busy with other stuff as well.
