Not sure what happened to the image. Here it is again:
img119.imageshack.us/img119/5577/pointerlistad3.jpg
The register 004ec514 that is highlighted in red, never changes. I can always do a search in the memory for that and get taken to the same line "fstp [ebx+000001c4]"
I don't know if the pointer itself changes as I haven't been able to get to a working one yet. I'm sure I'm putting in the starting number wrong but I don't know what else to try.
Thanks for the help.

Double click the first pointer in your list and it will go to the Cheat table.
From there you will have it in a CT so you can save it.
Also it can be added to a trainer and the value can be changed.

Ahh, double click. Much easier than trying to build it yourself. Good tip.
Ok, well none of those pointers worked. I added them all, restarted the game and they weren't pointing at anything worthwhile anymore.
I assume this means I'm screwed as far as finding a viable pointer.
Which also means my next learning curve is code injection. I'm tempted to start another thread as this is probably changing the topic from pointers... but oh well.
I know where I need to put my code cave, how to redirect to another area in memory, and then jump back to where I broke out of the normal flow... that seems pretty logical and easy. The part I'm hazy on is using my own program in the middle of this flow.
I'd like to make my own form using something like visual c#. I know how to write directly to RAM but am unsure about assembly language.
Even if I end up going to c++ ...
let's say I have a text field and a submit button to change the person's X location. How do I use textfield.value inside the code cave? I assume I can make the code cave in visual c# or c++ and am not stuck using cheat engine. Maybe just a snippet of code or a link to an example that shows a higher level programming language interacting with assembly language would be great.
Thanks again for the help.
