i started out with Bloodshed dev-C++ and its realy terrible...
i dont like it.
so what compiler should i get? please try to tell me whats good about it.

I suggest Microsoft's compiler that comes with Visual Studio 2005. You can download the express version from the link merkark provided:

Someone might suggest VS2008 but, it is still beta so I suggest you avoid it until it is actually released as a full version.

Bloodshed is very outdated and basically a lost project as there has been no updates to the project in a while. However, their compiler is a port of the Mingw GCC compiler.

Their last update was back in 2005.

this is a compiler for C++, it was in the sticky of compilers.

Microsoft visual C++

it has a the registration key in there and the set up, the rest you can just tuck away but don't delete. it will make a shortcut later and u can just use it whenever.

i tried compiling and it got me very confused ._.
it like asks me stuff i dont understand and makes a lot of files i dont see use for ...
i need a tut just to use the compiler...
