Chang the settings for where the Project gets compiled. Just go to the main directory for VB and go to projects.

There is a certain place where the project you're trying to compile will be saved unless you have a file with your saved Project, reopen it and then compile it, it will be in that folder. The project gets compiled in your VB directory if you havent saved your source do a directory.

VB versions larger or equal to 7 will compile stuff instead of runtime-ing things everytime you try to debug. So "how do compile" ceases to be a question and it goes to "where is it?". Look in project folder /bin/debug.
