|
|
Hi, I try really hard not to anger people by asking stupid questions on this forum but this time I just really am stuck.
I try to hack this game called Puzzle Pirates, and I found out from an online thing that I send packets to the server every 5 seconds, which means that my score in certain puzzles is client sided.
However, the designers of the game made it so that no actual values are shown anywhere throughout it, making hacking a lot harder. Instead of a score for my puzzle, it just shows a bar that is either blinking, yellow, green, blue, dark blue, or brown.
So I fired up CE and did the initial search (for my score so I could freeze it high or something) at 4-bytes/Unknown initial value. I got like 230k addresses, so I increased my score and tried again...this time like 100k.
I kept doing that and in the end I ended up with like 70 addresses, which seems like a lot to go through.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might find this address?
Help would be appreciated.

Try this
1. Unkown initial value
2. Score then, Increased value, or if you know how much you scored then increased value by...
3. Repeat step 2 until you get a very small amount of addresses.
During this you can also not score so your score stays the same and search unchanged value, this should help too, you can just spam it a bit to reduce some addys if you're bored

| shoud be 2 bytes, most are 2, saves space and its common sense, if the value isn't very big, decrese, search decreased value, increase, search increased value, and repeat, u'll find it
