It didn't work. I installed DirectX SDK into my Dev-Cpp folder. I then went to the Directories and added it. I clicked ok, recompiled. Still I get errors. Maybe I installed the wrong thing?

There are even more .rar files that got installed.

Not RAR files, .lib or .a or .o files! extract the contents of those rars into the /dev-cpp/lib directory.

Dude, you make simple things sound hard. I just downloaded the August SDK from here. Extract those files in your temp folder and when it's done, the installation is going to start automatically.

When it's done, go to where you installed it, and you're going to see a folder called lib, inside 2 folders, x64 and x86. This refers to your microprocessor architecture. Inside those folders, are your lib's. So now, all you have to do is, configure your IDE to check in that folders for lib's. In MVC++, go to Tools -> Options -> Directories. From there you can set new directories for Library's, Includes etc. Do this with the "Lib" folder and with "Include" folder.
