I'm sorry if this doesn't belong here, and for bothering you guys but does anyone know a good program to Password Protect/Encrypt file/folders so that people can't access/view them? Yes, I am a noob
TrueCrypt is the only real way. Folder "protect" or "hide" programs are just rootkits that hook into Windows to make it believe certain folders/files are not there. This is not secure, as an attacker can access the files/folders outside of the compromised Windows installation with no problem at all.

So this program hides folders from the search folder function? _________________
What dosen't kill you, usually does the second time.
You create a virtual drive, which can be stored as a file with any extension you like. You can mount it and access its contents as if it were a real drive when decrypted (with your password ofcourse). That's the basic setup. There are also other cool features like plausible deniability (if someone forces you to give up your password you can have seperate 'less secret' contents displayed and TC won't even know)
Best thing is it's open source so if you doubt one of it's features you can see exactly what it's doing.
