Hi,
Is boolean algebra necessary for learning ASM? I was reading a bit of it, and it said that it would only be necessary if you wanted to manipulate circuits using software. I want to know from experienced hackers if you've ever had a need to use boolean algebra.

it's also required for learning basicly any computer language

basic boolean algebra is enough though. Not, and or, not not, etc..
It helps if you can write out those lame "proofs" but not required
