| My virus scanner detected a virus during the Set-up of CE 5.2. Why did you put a virus in the file?

It seem to be happening since installing windows updates I get the virus I heal it and then when it loads it come up with.(See Attachment) Even when the Anti-Virus is off the whole time. I am running 2 OS and one has no updates on it but still got full working anti-virus and CE works.
Bloody Microsoft.

if you used norton uninstall it and reboot. Even if you disable it it stays active and fucks up the driver (because it mistakenly detects it as a rootkit)

I am using AVG.
One of the latest Windows updates is responsible for it.
I had no probs with CE until I downloaded the last one.
I'll just install XP on my third Partition and run CE off that while Hacking the program off the other 2nd OS. Well maybe not hack but debug BF2.exe

| May be its got something to do with 64bit processors. I'm not running a 64bit OS but I have a 64bit processor.

Dustywrc, just send avg a mail telling them they are mistakenly detecting the driver as a trojan. Perhaps they'll bring out a patch after 10000 or more people complain to them

Hey thanks. I beleave it is AVG it keeps an eye on that file and wont let it open incase it releases the so called Virus.

I can comfirm it is AVG I just uninstalled it then done a restart and then CE worked.

I have never had that problem with AVG. It seems to only affect some people, since with the latest updates I can install and run CE fine, and it's been like that since... well... forever.

^ I hate people like this. Automatically assuming something just because they believe every stupid thing they hear. I could make a "virus scanner" too that detects Windows as a virus. And I bet people like this guy would go complaining to Microsoft that Windows comes with a virus. I wonder if this guy has ever gotten that kind of spyware/adware where a fake scanner is installed and says he's infected, and must buy the full version to remove the infections, and then actually bought the program.
