Honestly, I think you might be overestimating the amount of people actually trying to hijack accounts, there are much easier ways to spam, etc,.

At any rate, I've never personally had that issue, and I've been using the interwebz for over 15 years.

It wasn't a typo, I even tried recovering my password and it notified me that my account was inactive.

Try again to make sure it wasn't a typo. And if it's not a typo check up with SF to mak sure he hasn't changed the password.

Only some do, those that don't pass the auto-allow part.

Eg accounts with shitty passwords.
