Summary0000070: Width base: 16
DescriptionWhen you change the width of the memory viewer dialog, the number of columns shown in the memory panel (the bottom part of the dialog, not the debug or the register panels) is automatically adjusted - on an 8 byte basis. Meaning that when the dialog is too narrow, 0 columns are shown, when it is narrow, 8 columns are shown, when "normal", 16 columns are shown, when it's wide, 24 columns are shown, etc (see attached screen shots).
The thing is, I have to make the dialog quite often wider - to see the instructions and the registers at the same time - and whenever I do this, the memory view is adjusted to show 24 columns and when it does, it becomes harder to locate particular certain offsets in the memory.
So, I would like to be able to change this behavior and adjust the amount of columns based on a 16 byte basis. So, when the dialog is very narrow or narrow, 0 columns are shown; when normal or wide, 16 columns are shown; when very wide, 32 columns are shown.
Additional InformationAlso, putting a header-like row above the columns like this:
00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 0A 0B 0C 0D 0E 0F
might also help - so I would not get lost in counting the byte sausages ;-)

Dark Byte (developer)

This is probably a good feature for the planned 'preferences' option in that window.
