Since I'm having trouble with this one I decided to go to the source of some of the best damn cheaters on the interweb. Seriously tired of playing FFXIII and while I do, sorta, like the game I have no real desire to spend another 50 hours or so on top of the 52 I've already put into this game grinding out rest of the game itself, so I'd rather cheat, get a bunch of money in the bank, kill a bunch of stuff, and finish it that way, just like I do on everything I do on the computer Very Happy

(kongregate fukken pwnt). So, anyone know of any ways to cheat on the PS3?

whatever is possible.
bios chip replacement so it loads software AND games as well (at the same time)
Memory filter device, that sits between ram and the system
Perhaps a special debug interface on the cpu that can be accessed

etc...

You should run ubuntu off your PS3.

Chill out guys... the man says he needs cheats for a game, and you jump straight to soldering and alternate OS. Try this first man. Get a usb drive. Copy the save file onto it. Transfer the save to your comp. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A BACKUP. Open up the save file in a hex editor, then see if you can make sense of anything. Thats normally my first step for doing ANYTHING to a ps3 game, im bout to take a look thru the save right now, ill tell you if i find something interesting.

Evil reading the save is one thing, how do you plan on loading a save file off a usb? Not sure about ps3 but I'm pretty sure it isn't possible without modding on 360

which is why this is the PS3 forum. To load an edited save onto a ps3 is just as easy as copying from a ps3...you go to the save folder, click on your usb device, find the save, and hit copy Very Happy

It isn't strictly PS3, and I haven't looked into loading 360 saves from USB's but if Sony or Microsoft was stupid enough to allow that then they're both silly as fuck.

Really? Its actually a good idea, since you can make your saves portable and you can't really do anything on anything outside of single player.

Anyway my idea for ps3 hax is plugging in your controller via usb to a PC, then your pc to a ps3 then your pc forwards everything between the two, and when you press a button on your keyboard or something, it activates, say a rapid fire or some other controller hax.
