I was just told that if you drop an iPod Touch, or get a virus, they won't fix it if its jailbroken.

True, so before returning it to get it fixed put it back to the original state
Or just fix it yourself. That's what makes jailbroken so useful, you can fix stuff yourself

How would I remove Cydia (JailBrake APP) if I, say, dropped it? Take it to a tech?

He'd first have to repair it then to see cydia is running, and at that point it's repaired enough I guess

Good point, thanks. But last question, I heard they can confiscate your iTouch for being jailbroken, because its technically piracy, is that true?

Depends on in what backwater country you live.
If your laws are so fucked up that you don't own the product but only borrow the product for a keepers fee(Usa), then yes, they could do it.
but if you live in a country where you actually own the products you buy (Netherlands), then no
anyhow, I wouldn't worry about it too much

If you have Cydia, i recommend to install Cydelete so you can delete any apps installed with Cydia even itself.

Jailbreaking probably can't give you a virus unless what your using has a virus.

plenty of other places will fix an iPod depending on the problem, eBay has a large number of retailers who will take it off you, fix it and send it back fixed.
